Goldeck-Siflitz

Project overview

Goldeck-Siflitz is a gold focused project that covers 52 km2 across 119 exploration licences.

The project’s exploration rationale combines historical gold-arsenic mineralisation, historical stibnite workings, graphitic schist and marble-contact host settings, and multiple east-west to east-southeast-west-northwest structural corridors. Principal historical working and target areas include Guginock, Wallner Stollen, Siflitz Graben, Vorder Siflitz and Weisswande.

Location and access

Goldeck-Siflitz lies in the Goldeck Mountain Range in Carinthia, Austria, on steep wooded to alpine slopes associated with the Drau Valley and its tributary valleys. Regional access is provided by valley infrastructure, forestry roads and tracks. Final access to workings and target panels is affected by terrain, seasonal conditions, landowner arrangements and the condition of historical mine workings.

Geological setting and target areas

The project includes graphitic schists, phyllites and marble or carbonate horizons cut by shear zones and faults. There are significant structural controls  and the relationship between graphitic units and marble-phyllite contacts are important to exploration targeting.

– Guginock and Wallner Stollen: the highest-ranked target panel within the project. Historical work described gold-arsenic mineralisation near faulted or sheared phyllite-marble contacts in an area with historical antimony workings.
– Siflitz Graben: a corridor investigated historically through stream-sediment, geochemical and geophysical work. The surviving documentation is incomplete and is treated as target-generation information.
– Vorder Siflitz: the principal northern gold-arsenic shear target, associated with historical workings and legacy descriptions of mineralised shear positions.
– Weisswande: the principal antimony-focused upside area, where stibnite was historically reported in marble or contact-related settings.

Exploration status and proposed work

The proposed program is staged with geophysics-first following aninitial work program of validation of historical plans, mapping, drilling summaries, sampling records and other datasets; title and access checks; geological and structural mapping; and geochemical sampling. Geophysical work would be used to test mapped shear corridors and contact settings prior to scout drilling.

Project status notice

Goldeck-Siflitz is an early-stage exploration project. Historical sampling results, drill references, production statements and resource-style figures are non-JORC historical information, have not been independently verified by the Independent Geologist and are used as evidence of mineralisation tenor and for target generation only.
